It says that most people who respond that way have no life, and hate themselves because they're making fun of others. Girls ask these questions more often ('what do you think of me?', etc) and they get some equally shrewd answers, but really, what does it say about someone who needs outside validation from their looks from strangers??

It says that their view on masculinity suggests that men should not ask 'am I hot'. Frankly, I think it's a stupid question for a guy to ask - and you know the saying - ask a stupid question - get a stupid answer...
I would advice ladies not to ask that question either - fishing for compliments isn't a good habit plus you're attracting potentially unwanted advances and look insecure and a bit low in intelligence. It also lets everyone know what you look like, not a safe practice.
