Do eyelashes grow?!

Question: Or do they just stay the same length forever?

Answers: Or do they just stay the same length forever?

I'm going to measure mine before I go to bed tonight and I'll get back to you on that at a later date.

duh

They grow to the length that they will be & stop.

"New eyelashes grow back over the course of four to eight weeks."

(The source above is referring to eyelashes that have been removed completely.)

"Human hair seems to grow at a pretty consistent rate of about half a millimeter or so per day, or about half an inch every month. It may grow faster or slower depending on your age, your genetics and your hormonal state (pregnancy seems to have an affect on hair), but half a millimeter per day is a good average.

What this means is that the maximum growth rate for hair is about 6 inches (15 cm) per year."

Hair "grows faster at night than day, and faster in warm weather than cold weather."

The source above has a long paragraph about the growth/rest cycles of hair, if you're interested.

"The hair cycles for the eyebrows, eyelashes, arms, legs, and pubic region are much faster than the cycles for scalp hair. The growing stage (anagen) of the cycle for these areas is only a few months. The growing stage for scalp hair is from two to six years. That's why scalp hair grows very long whereas hair on other areas of the body does not."

they grow.

yes they grow

yes they do grow and replace

They are like the hair on your head, they replace themselves.

They grow until they get the length of the other eye lashes then they stop. That's why we wear mascara.
