Is it true that cheap people AKA economy club shop in Tesco and higher class peo!

Question: Right Cherrycheesecake & Honeybee, remember the date, 4th January, 2008. That was the day I put you both over my knee and gave you a spanking. I am neither a Gypo or a cheapo, but I do shop in Lidl, and don't care who knows. I may save a few bob, yes, but I don't miss out on quality. As they say don't knock it, till you've tried it. And why pay more, so that your neighbours can see you with a Waitrose bag?

xxx

Bet you wouldn't call me cheap if you saw me coming out of Aldi.

whats wrong with lidl we arent all made of money.i shop lidl and tesco i go on taste rather then price.

do none of you people go to netto? or are you the one with the president reagan mask and the M & S reusable bag

yes, its true.

waitrose is more upmarket.

i shop all over lol but i have no problem with aldi or lidls , have never been disappointed yet !

Have ye not heard of Morrisons laddie, that's were your cheapskates go, I'll stick with Sainsbury's thanks!

i don't know hun, i'm a sainsbury's girl x

Good on you Pompal.
I shop all over mixture of tesco, sainsbury, asda for groceries and Lidl for the great offers they have on each week on all sorts of items like childrens trainers, furniture, electrical items etc.
Hey its up to you if you wanna pay a high price for the same item you could get for a much lower price. I've never been in Waitrose and i've never felt the need to. I shop where I want to shop cos i need certain items from certain shops and I'm very happy with them.

No matter how much money I had I would still shop at the places I shop in.

You can't generalise, it's not quite black and white... Low income people may do their regular shop in Tesco, yet treat themselves to Waitrose every now and again to buy their beaujolais or their fancy toffee! Some posh people may do all of their shopping in Tesco cos they like to think they're careful with their money! Some posh ones may do all their shopping in Waitrose but want 'a bit of rough with the masses' in Tesco. And finally some 'cheap people' (as you call them) may do all of their shop in Waitrose cos they want to feel that little bit special and/ or can't manage their finances, so who cares?!

Don't know as there are no Waitroses in the North East...
I remember a couple of years ago, my husband had commented at his work that I was waiting for my shopping to be delivered from Sainsbury. His female boss looked down her nose and sniffily said "Sainsbury is for the wannabees who can't afford to shop at Marks & Spencer"...How's that for snobbery ? She obviously felt that 'higher classes' shop at M&S.
I shop where I fancy and don't care if its Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury, M&S or whatever.
