Question: What do you do to kick yourself back into the swing of things?

Stressed about finances, divorce, career, school, everything in the world. Just needing some uplifting responses please and thank you!

Sometimes it's in the attempt to control situations that cause the most stress. If that's the case, then it is best to give up.

Give up the weight of carrying these burdens. I did the divorce thing once - it was a lose/lose situation. Iraq gave me a place to escape to and think clearly again.

I can say this for sure; everything does get better. Try letting go and start looking ahead to the future. Not so much "it is what it is", but more like "what's done is done"
It's a new year, everyday is a new beginning and fresh opportunities for life and living. You're only 20, from your previous posts, you must be hot. You're intelligent, caring, healthy, and employed. The world is ahead of you so smile big and know that life is indeed good!

sometimes giving up is all that's left

Ivy-
Giving up is NEVER the answer.
I have been there and gone through that- a lot of issues, a lot of experience.
Instead of focusing on what's wrong, find even one thing that's bright and shining and put all you have into that.
Find your sense of humor- you can either choose to throw a pity party and be bummed when no one shows or you can choose to laugh at how ridiculous the whole thing is.
Everyday, get up and choose to be happy. You may have to remind yourself a lot during the day, but eventually you will find joy. Once you have it- don't let anyone steal it.
I started out by complimenting strangers- find one good thing- even if it's just the colour of their nail polish... the more you find loveliness in others, the more you will find in yourself.
God bless. Love you!

ya i have...but have always made it through it...i think i have went through what i have so i could be there to help others when they do...daughter died at 27 days...hurricane 1 month later...abusive marriage....parents died when i was in my 20's...son-in-law killed himself...was very special to me...i've had 2 back surgeries...knee replacement...shoulder surgery...anxiety and depression...i'm 55....now if i can make it through that anyone can

I have thought about it but it's pointless. I mean, why would you be put on this earth to just slack off? No! LOL! I say think about all your good friends and family and how lucky you are to have advantages that other people don't and things you accomplished that you are proud of. :) I hope you feel better!
