Obviously Google didn't work if I am asking on here! Though, admittedly, YA has replaced my first port of call for answers now!!

i think people put that because a lot of times when i can't find something on another search engine i can always pull it up on google...........not that i'm taking their side or anything I'm just saying though

I don′t mind because it′s true sometimes it is on google. I don′t like if they′d said it to me though, because I do bother looking up google before I ask.
I see where you are coming from with this,it is not an answer AND it is not attempting to answer.It is just telling you to find the answer ,if you can.IT COULD EVEN BE A VIOLATION ,in some peoples eyes.
my reason for that would be that i googled it first to see if it was there.if it is then i will put "google it" as the questioner may not have looked.
i have an account with google also,its a nice website,but to tell you the truth theres nothing like yahoo! wikipedia has a q+a section,of which i knew nothing about,god forbid i get the yahoo boot,i will hop over to wikipedia.
