becuz it makes their question seem interesting even though most of the time they arent.

It just gives people a motivation that they are helping more then one person.

no. b/c evn though they know that their questions must not be interesting b/c they dont get any, they feel like they should get stars b/c maybe it will make them feel better and possibly special. i think its pathetic really.(asking for them) i dont star unless i find the question interesting.
Same reason that little kids like to get gold stars on their homework. To feel special.
