Scruffy guys in tight pants and vests, girls in vintage dresses mellowed out or super energetic guitars- nothing in between. bands not on major labels, bands on major labels that have managed to stay cool. Local gigs at scummy pubs in the city. Plaid shirts. Retrostar (a shop in melbourne). Generally silly band names (I heard of a band called Cosmic Granola today). Quirky female solo artists. For girls hair, brunette or blatantly dyed blonde usually scruffy, with a fringe/bangs (depending on where your from), colourful hair accessories, costume jewelry. And a good time out dancing.
