Should cellphone use be banned in all public buildings?!

Question: Including restaurants, theaters, stores, etc,

Answers: Including restaurants, theaters, stores, etc,

I think people should just learn to be considerate to others, we shouldn't have to police manners.
Why people insist on having mundane conversations (and usually at too high of volumes) in public places comeplete astounds me.
I don't want to hear who drunk you got last night, who you slept with, stories about your cat/dog/fish, about your trip to the grocery store, or anything else for that matter.
I also understand, though, that sometimes you need to inconvenience others (checking in on your kids, calling your wife to make sure you don't bring home the wrong kind of bread, etc.) and I am willing to put up with that sort of thing, because I know, sometimes I am that annoying person.
But ban it all together?
I don't think that is necessary.

Hell no! What would be the point of having a cell then?

wouldn't THAT be nice? nothing I hate more than eating in a restaurant and having someone's phone (loudly) playing some tune. and then hearing the conversation! how rude!

Except for emergency personnel, yes.

Theaters for sure!
People just need to learn to use their "inside voice" in restaurants and stores.

NO plz no

Not totally, but I think people are taking this freedom too far! And while driving? How dumb can someone be?

no but yes in church

no
that defeats the purpose of a cell phone....

please!

i just think that would be a really stupid idea....

No they shouldn't but some people need to learn manners...There is a time and place for everything. I don't think it's nice to run around a store or anywhere with a phone glued to your head. If they were used as they should be then we wouldn't have the problem with cells ringing and all the rudeness we do now days

ABSOLUTELY !! - This is SO annoying......Some of these
morons can't take-a-crap without a dam cell phone hangin
outta their ear !!!!!!!!!!!!!

~no~

The cell phone can come in handy when shopping, so I can check with others on what I need to buy. Otherwise, I would love to have them banned from public places (primarily indoors.)

Once I was waiting in a medical supply store with my daughter with a broken foot, waiting to buy crutches. There was one other customer there who was being waited on, and the salesperson actually waited for the woman to finish a 15 minute cell phone conversation with her daughter who wanted to go out. The woman should have excused herself to continue her conversation, and the salesperson should have offered assistance to my daughter. Turned out they had sold out of children's crutches.

I'm starting to dislike having a cell phone as people assume I am available at all times.
