Our minister has hired lap dancers to pass the collection plate. Is this a good !

Question: Collections have gone up.

Answers: Collections have gone up.

This might be THE thing that would get me to attend church again.

I wonder if that's all they're doing.

What a good idea.

As long as they're conservatively dressed for a church setting, and not doing their usual thing, it's okay.

well im athiest so 2 me that is sooo funny. But if i were religious it would bug me.

I would figure that the lap dancers would be stealing some money.

Wonderful idea!

I dont believe this. I'm not knocking anyone's religion but a true man of God would not do this especially if they are wearing the outfits that they work in. Or maybe he's trying to help them get their life together.

What the hell kind of minister do you have?

It's a good idea at a Man church maybe.
Unless he's hired dancers of all genders!
Where did you say this church was?
I have a $5 spot.
*wink*

Terrific idea! Unless, of course, too many of the male congregation personally knows the dancers...you'd better warn the dancers not to show any recognition to the members..( of the congregation)

do they join the minister in the backroom after the service.

No, of course not. If this is true, and not just a joke, then he is after the money, nothing more. Which should tell the men in the audience abut their basic lust instincts and work on them. Men should always be upset when women are used and abused because they are women; after all, a good man respects women, not as a way to advance his desires but to walk along side of her as protection. This is not Bible-based, because God has specific instructions how women and men are to treat each other.
Yes, forgiveness of anyone is in the Bible, as Jesus did the woman at the well, but He then didn't put her in his discipleship and have her minister to others. He told her, in paraphrasing to get her life together and live differently.
I don't question the preacher, though. I question a congregation that allows this. That preacher may offer koolaid at the next Lord's Supper. (i.e. Jim Jones and his cult.)
