I should've explained things more but sorry I thought you wouldn't like it to be longer than this.Please don't pay attention to the selfish tone of voice my American friend has given to this piece (since he edited it for me through email and changed it to some extent but I thank him) and plz don't misunderstand me because of some exagerating words he's used like "overrunning etc".He also has omited some stuff which he thought was not necassary.He said just talk about the positive points just like everyone esle.I'd love to know your opinion on this issue.If you don't have enough time save this, but read it whenever possible.This is very important and if it works on you, it may change your view toward the world issues.

i do not doubt that we are alot alike, but the rulers of both our countries are ego manics that are likely to get alot of us killed trying to prove which of them have the bigger d^&k.

I think your 444 day thing is weak. It was an Embassy that your country was suppose to protect. We (our government) would have never allowed this to happen to your embassy and certainly not for 444 days. Even with the climate of today between your government and ours... it would never happen. So yeah, we are different or we "were" different. Most of the older Americans remember that and it is hard for them to forget. Most of us went to school (college) right before that time with your people since so many were going to school over here from Iran.
Your generation may have changed but your government isn't doing you any favors. It's too bad you don't have a true democracy.

I was one of those that was college at that time, but I was also one of those that was in Vietnam as well.
No we are not alike in respect to Religion and the way religion rules your country. No one Religious dogmia rules our country. We have room for everybody don't care if they are Muslim, Christian or Jew. We also do not treat women as second class citizens little more than slaves like your religion and your government does. We have gotten past that over a hundred years ago. That is one thing which needs addressing on your government's and your state religion's part.
I also recall the 444 days as well but, on the flip side I recall the nerve gas, the mustard gas that was furnished to Saddam Hussein in the Iraq/Iran war as well as the muntions which was furnished to him. So that sort of evens it that out in a way.
Also like most every body who has been in war. I would hate to see our two countries going to war against each other.
I also know that in any war there is going to be gun running, arms dealers, and enterprising supply clerks somewhere making money selling arms on the black market.
As far as your country going nuclear that doesn't worry me a bit because I have trained for a fighting on a nuclear battle field when in the service. My concern is your government's determination to wipe Israel off the map if you go nuclear. I am not going to lie to you that prompts me to favor a nuclear strike if it comes to that between our two countries.
Something else which concerns me is your country officially denying the Nazi Holocaust ever happened.
Have is a fact there were 22,000,000 people killed by the Nazis in the Holocaust and only 6,000,000 were Jews. A large number of them killed by the Nazis were East Europeans and for no other reason than them were Muslims. Alot of the people killed in the Holocaust were also killed because of them being Catholic. So by officially denying the Holocaust happened your government is officially saying no Muslims were killed by the Nazis or no Catholics were killed by the Nazis along with no Jews being killed by the Nazis.
What would have been more useful and helpful would have been for your government to have opened an investigation to find out just how many Muslims were also killed by the Nazis in the Holocaust.
Now here is something else you need to think about. This Country is predominately a Christian Country and to us Israel is a holy land because it was where our Christ was born and died then rose from the dead. So that makes it a simple fact we will as a country defend it if necessary.
To us Israel being invaded would be like a non Muslim country invading Saudi Arabia and destroying Mecca to you all.
Anyway those are a brief outline the issues which are separating us as countries.
I know in a lot of ways the men on the streets both in your country and my country are a lot alike in that our main concern is putting food on the tables for our families and providing a decent place for them to live. Also providing a decent education for them.
Anyway let's hope our countries as countries can somehow start settling our differences and at least our two countries to start talking to each other on an official level.
