Question: I was invited to two different parties, but here I am. I just decided that, overall, the wiser decision was to stay home.
Also, I was looking forward to watching my team play in its first bowl game in almost 20 years.
Oh, well. At least they made some progress this year! lol

I am not drinking yet, but I feel there is a gin and tonic coming up in the near future.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you my story! Well, we are new to AZ and have no babysitter! I am extremely picky about who I leave my kids with! My husband was a cop for over 10 years, and I am almost overly paranoid about who I leave them with. That's ok though. I'm sure we'll find something to do tonight after they go to bed! Heehee!

I am home too; my husband is out of town and it just doesn't feel the same.. So I decided to stay in get some much needed rest
I just personally feel that starting the new year out drunk is not a good way to start the year.
I chose to stay home with my child and watch the fireworks by the pool

staying home with the kids to make sure that they and i are safe while there are a lot of drunk drivers out tonight.

I stayed home for NYE this year just too hot to do anything, but got to watch the fireworks and go celebrate with the neighbours.

Its too cold out, my favorite bar is having a toga party (I don't want to dress up in a sheet), I don't want to drive or call and wait for cabs, and I don't want to be hungover tomorrow
I"m on my second beer, I have one more in the fridge, and after that I'll probably cook a late dinner, watch tv and be in bed by 1:00 (I get to sleep late tomorrow!!!)
After that third beer, I may just be willing to throw on a sheet, though!!!
If it was 5 years ago, I'd be on my 10th beer, 3rd mix, and 4th shot at the bar or club by now, though!!!!!
I can't believe so many of us are doing the same thing, sipping a few and chillin on the 'net!!! I may have to go pick up another sixer just to keep up with everyone!!!

I had the choice of going to a going-away party for someone I don't know, or going over to the house of a family who doesn't know the meaning of "inside voice."
So. Here I am, with a glass (or two or three or....) of parrot bay and pineapple juice.
It's not so bad. I've always enjoyed drinking alone.
Trying not to drink after that stupid heart issue Friday.
So my best bet was to stay home as well, keep out of trouble.
Rented a couple movies and plan to answer a couple questions here, then put my PJ's on and fix a snack and curl up on the sofa with the remote.
My choice and I am happy with that choice.

Hubby and i decided to stay home. I'm surfin' and he's spinnin' some tunes . Since he doesn't really drink, i've got my bottle of Bacardi Superior to keep me dancin' all night long!!!
