No. As a kid, my Mother always took the beaters out of the mixer. That would have hurt!!

No, but once I went out on the sundeck, when it was ice cold weather, took one of the beaters out there, licked it, & my tongue got stuck to it. It wouldn't come off. I had to call my husband. He could barely understand what I was saying. He came home & helped me get it off. That was terrible!
