Babysitting help!?!

Question: My twin sister and I (12 years old) used to babysit for a couple who has three children. We both really enjoyed the job, and it helped us earn a lot of money. One day, we had to cancel on them a few days earlier because we had a really important audition. We told them of a family with two girls (13 years old and 12 years old) who could babysit for them. The girls babysat for them, and now they are their permanent babysitters! The 12 year old girl is in my class, and she's always like, "Today I'm going to babysit them.." and then she just explains about how much money she is getting and how many hours she is working for. It really bugs me that the family would pick them over my sister and I. Please help!

You should definitely go back to the family's house and ask them for your job back. It may sound rude to do that but I mean at one point it was your job. They should understand that you can't always make it. Or if they don't want to give the job back ask if you could share the job with the other kids or babysit for the family when the other girls are busy. And when the girl brags about the job just walk away or pretend not to hear what she says.

Good Luck & I hope you get the job back!

Go talk to the family, maybe you will get your jobs back and maybe they prefer thier new babysitters!

find another family to babysit for, or call the family up and ask them if they need you to babysit any night soon

well either (sorry) get over it, find a new babysitting job, or call them and say hey whenever you want us, give us a call. even say hey we'll charge you a dollar less an hour than them. you know the girl in school is doing it to bug you... ignore her. (i have a 12 year old daughter and i would say the same thing).

take a job do it right

I think the best thing to do is to talk to the couple. You can probably convince her to let you and your twin babysit every other time. Or you can try to find different kids. Start a club like the book series the babysitter club!
