I haven't even figured out why they think melted cheese on toast is a rabbit.
Its not Welsh, it's welch, on bets. Nothing to do with Welsh rarebit, either, which is something disgusting with melted cheese, I believe.
And if you were Welsh, wouldn't you welch on any bets made, if you had to deal with the English (Anglo-Saxons) since they invaded you for almost 1300 years now, on and off?
They are not Welsh they are Welch. Hence the famous sheep insemination utensil the Welchington boot.
Cause they are welshy but I think the proper word is welch..on a bet..I think they had rather welch than triple dog dare on a bet..
