No it's not weird. But, yes, I do think it's not that common in today's society. Sad....People just doesn't view sex as something special anymore. In this day and age, people need to practice abstinence because of all the diseases we have.
One of my good friends waited until she was married. She was 24. Although her husband wasn't one, she later told me he was surprised by very pleased. She said it 'tickled him pink' that he was the first.

Unfortunately i do think it is less common, however i don't think it is weird. I can only hope that when i find the right girl she is still a virgin, and i don't feel this way because of religion...it is just important to me.
I think it is wearing down. I agree with abstinence completely. I think that you should truly wait until you've found the right person or are secure and confident and smart enough to wait. I am not saying that all people aren't careful, but my personal preference is to wait.

i believe some people are getting tainted by the media and some people have sex or say they have had sex just because thats the "cool thing" to do but i still believe theres those people saving themselves for marriage its just not as accepted sometimes therefore not as commonly heard about the more outspoken people about the situation tend to be the people who arent saving themselves for marriage which is another reason it can appear less people are saving themselves for marriage

I don't think abstinence is for everyone. I can understand why some people wait and other people don't. It's up to the individual, really.
It is definitely less common. There seem to be little if any good reason for it other then what the religious fanatics put out. However, everyone can have their own opinion and do as they please. It seems to me you are putting restrictions on your life that are unnecessary, but if it seems right for you that is your decision to make, and does not make you weird..
