I wish I could say I'll have mine down on New Year's Day...but I'm hoping to be too hungover to do it....2007 was a real bad year for me...so when I say good-bye to it...it's gonna be with drink in hand!! I think I'll ceremoniously dispose of the tree too...in a symbolic sort of way.

we usually leave it up until mid january or later, its a real
tree we have in the florida room, its not heated so the tree
will stay nice.
Of course! (To New Years.) If you spend so much time putting it up, why not milk it the whole holiday season.
We usually leave ours up until New Years. We spend the day taking it down that day. But this year it will have to come down sooner because we are packing to move.

I took our down today. But if I had a child or family member deployed then I would have left it up until they returned.

awe! that is cute! decorate it for easter! I hate taking my tree down, sometimes i just want to leave it up, and decorate it for different holidays! hearts for valentines, clovers for st. pattys, bunnies and eggs for easter, flags and red white and blue lights for 4th of july, pumpkins and stuff for halloween, and back to christmas!
but i never do it, i end up taking it down just after new years.
Took mine down already, but if I had a daughter coming home from deployment, I'd do the same thing, "Large Marge". I'll be praying for her safe return.
