he proposed a few times. The first time he came home late and drunk. I wouldn't talk or look at him because I was mad. He said you are the only one that will put up with my sh*t, will you marry me. and he gave me the ring. How romantic, huh?
On a carriage ride on Beale Street in Memphis, TN at 11:03PM. It was a crazy night. Then to make sure he was serious I proposed to him the very next morning. I woke him up and made breakfast for him with a pancake that was shaped like a heart.
My first husband proposed in a restaurant .I was eighteen years old.My second husband got down on one knee (in a restaurant) and proposed in front of everyone.Still didn't work...Divorced,again!!!No more proposals to be excepted in a restaurant!!
he just asked one night sort of a would you ever want to marry me and i was like sure i guess and we got married a few months after and been married for about 10yrs now
Bo, if I had waited on him to propose we would still be single.
I simply told him we where getting married Easter Sunday.
Within a week we did. That was the only time I was allowed to wear the pants in the family. LOL. Been wed 54 yrs. now. Looks like its going to last. We are so glad that it did.
He was in the U.S Navy. We have been so Blessed.

Hmmm I think my first husband just old me we were getting married, I was a baby 18, he was 15 years older. Bizarre. I look back now and can't believe that was me. What a journey.
