Yes, your exactly right...my mother has eight kids and one on the way and I'm not going to mention her income...I won't even do it. Why do we do this to ourselves...bearing your fruits means taking care of your fruit too...financially speaking!!
I asked this question a while back and I was told that upper middle class people like money and if they had more kids, they would have to spend more. Also, some people are more into family than accumulating wealth.
