How do I say to my cousin that I have already made plans for New Year's Eve !
Question: She's flying in from California on the 30th, with her hubby and 4 kids (they are all staying at a hotel) but she is convinced, we will be going out on the 31st and I've made my plans already !!

Hate to say this pal, BUT you should have ALREADY told her, Sorry Cuz, but I already have plans made and at this point there is no way I can change them. BUT you are still more than welcome to come on down, BUT we won't be able to get together until the 1st.
Tell her the TRUTH (and then work from there). Or would you like to make things more complicated?

Since she came so far, I would try to include her in your plans.
just be honest with her and tell her.

i think you should consider to spend a lil time with her.
Offcourse tell her the truth but also don`t dissapoint her and make sure u`ll cut out some time to spend with her from ur pre made angagements.

Jeepers! Better tell her pretty quick, or the damage to her feelings and your relationship, will worsen. Maybe you can say that it's super that she is flying in, but you hope to see her but things might be "tight", since you already have plans for New Years Eve or day.
Don't wait.
