i guess they were just usual white baguettes which should have been the most usual bread in that period. I've seen a cartoon and what they were holding seemed exactly like a baguette kind..
None of the above, they only had a fruitcake, they had to use a chisel on it to break it apart and leave the crumbs when they were walking. They still got lost because there was a fruitcake loving snail that stole all the crumbs along the way. =)
German bread
