Why Do People Live In Disaster-Prone Areas?!

Question: Such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, floods, etc.?

Then when a disaster occur, they want others to help them out of their foolish decision to live there?

For example, people complain states like Michigan is too cold, but then they move to New ORleans which was built below sea level and prone to hurricanes (such as Katrina).

They have nothing better to do.

Ignorance must be bliss, eh pal?

b/c the pros and better than the cons.

because I was born In CA and I plan 2 stay here

maybe they have family around those areas or even a job caused them to move there... you know, stuff like that.

People live where they can afford to.
Most places have drawbacks of some sort.
Don't be so high and mighty, one day you might have to move to a trailer in Hurricane alley to have a job and a place to live.

just worry about ur self idiot. duh!

Becuase 1/4 of the US would be unpopulated if we didn't...

Where are we suppose to live since nearly everyplace has it's problems? I moved from "Tornado Alley" with dry hot summers and cold winters, and we actually would have an earthquake occassionaly, to where we have hurricanes and the humidity is high and hot summers with mild winters. I also have lived in hot dry Arizona, New Mexico where it dumped loads of snow during the winter.

there is no perfect free from every possible disaster area

Where should do the 1.3 million people in Honolulu move to?

Is Detroit completely disaster-prone free?

They just want to.
