family

Well my gradchildren......

its just everyone around you being happy at the same time at once, even if its just once a year!

getting up in the middle of the night to eat the cookies the kids left out, and putting the presents under the tree. I'm so excited!

Remembering where I parked my car after a Christmas party.

For me It is going to midnight mass I dont know why.
And Santa tonight he was going round in a firetruck throwing lollies to the kids

sharing the day with my kids and the neighbours kids, exchanging our gifts, and then waiting for my kids to fall asleep later and putting out the things they didnt expect,so its only 1 hour to go til its xmas(sydney) and my youngest just dozed off! cheers :)

knowing that it's christmas tomorow

FINALLY getting the kids to sleep!

don't tell anyone but sometimes i stay up a few seconds past my bedtime!!

I always like going to Midnight Mass, then checking out Christmas lights on the drive home.....around here, most people leave them on all night on Christmas Eve.

Traditionally, Christmas Eve has always been more special to me...but I guess that is because of family tradition....

For me, the most magical part of Christmas eve is the anticipation of Christmas morning and being thankful that I survived the madness at the mall. It's recalling the kindess many people show to one another at this time of year whether it be strangers helping a family out that is less fortunate or family members setting aside thier differences for a few hours. It's curling up on the couch with a warm blanket, your signifcant other, mugs of hot cocoa and watching a sappy old Christmas movie on the tube while snow is falling outside your window..enjoy your HOLIDAYS!

not a bleep thing

The get togetherness.
You don't get that everyday.
And the smiles, laughs and warmth of the family being under one roof again.

Putting the last nut or screw into the "minor assembly required" presents and realizing THIS time all the parts were really there!

Have you got any idea how impossible it is to find an hardware store open at 2 a.m. Christmas Eve/Christmas morning?

OR how upset the kids get when they cannot use their wonderful new bike/swing set/electronic game/etc. until the day after Christmas when at last a missing piece can be found?

So yeah, it has to be MAGIC when everything is really there, because the kids think it is MAGIC that delivered the presents anyhow!
