Which do you personally know more of happily married couples or unhappily marrie!


Question: I have seen many marriages fail and end up in divorce. I know of probably equally many that survive on a tightrope with one partner having an affair. I have seen marriages survive an affair and even thrive after it became known. I also know of marriages that might look happy on the outside but really aren't so. They can't be hidden forever. I think the reality is that most of the happy ones are the relatively new ones, although many older marriages are very happy. But unfortunately I believe most marriages end up in divorce or if they survive, they are not happy ones.

    Good question. I would say I know many couples that have had challenges but worked through them. The unhappy couples I knew are mostly divorced, several of them in happy marriages now.

    All marriages are challenging, that's the nature of the beast.
    Half and half, but I know more divorced people than both. :( Still, I think there's hope. I know a lot of happy couples who seem like they're going to stay that way! :)

    I know plenty of harried couples. The holiday season can be so stressful with shopping, cooking, writing cards, and..... what's that? Oh, married couples?!?

    I'm most familiar with my parents as a formerly married couple... they really should have divorced sooner or not got married at all.. but then I wouldn't have been born... oh well. I could've been born somewhere else and in a different form! >_<+

    Not too many unhappily married couples as I go to a good church with great counseling services for the couples. It is even good for the non-believers to attend. Just an FYI
