That's exactly what I've been doing....and it's sad,because that's the only way not to let that annoying thing to bother you.....
Try clicking on Yahoo! Canada at the bottom of the page. The Q's and A's stay the same but they don't have the ad!
genius! haha.. my volume on the comp is almost always muted, i haven't heard the gap ad once.. i listen to music on my mp3 player =]
I use mozilla firefox so I dont hear it or see it even better can have volume turned up and listen to my music at the same time as surfing the questions
My volume is already off, thank goodness.
I can barely stand the commercial with the volume off, yet alone ON!
They need better commercials here on Y!A....
I found this out from another question/ I'm just passing it on. If you go to tools, internet options, security, restricted sites, then add these web sites:

http://us.ard.yahoo.com
http://ts.richmedia.yahoo.com
This should stop the gap commercial from appearing
