Question: my birthday is in the summer. but i feel bad for those with birthdays around the holidays. do you still have a birthday party for yourself? do people rip you off and do joint holiday/birthday gifts? what is it like to have a birthday this time of year?

I have always hated that! "this is for your birthday and Christmas" like it is MY fault i was born a week before Christmas you cheap SOB! You were born near Arbor day, so i will buy you a birthday present and it will be fertilizer for your TREE!!!!! (deep breath) Sorry, but you probably do not want to know how i REALLY feel lol
my friends birthday is on new years eve does that count?

My Birthday is in Nov, but I have a son, a brother, my best friend and my husband all have birthdays this time of year, They all say they get the short end of the stick on this one. I have always tried to do something a little extra for them, but it is hard when all your money and time is focused on the holidays.
Yes, sadly I do get ripped off or forgotten at this time of the year. LOL
My Birthday is a week before Christmas, so I guess I would have to say that it isn't much fun having a Birthday so close to Christmas anyways.
