Have you ever told a friend something they didn't want to hear?!

Question: ....just because you thought they needed to hear it?
What did you tell him/her? How did they take it?

I had a friend whose little sister became a stripper. It was really hard to tell him. I had no idea how he was going to take it. He is a really religious person. I finally told him, and he didn't want to believe me. He went and told his parents what i told him. They confronted her about it. She told them she was only waitressing there. They believed her over me. He was really mad at me for getting him wound up over nothing. So i got mad at him for not believing me. I told him he can believe what he wants to believe, but she isn't a waitress. And if she is she is a really really friendly one. One that never delivers drinks and gets on stage and peoples laps and takes her clothes off. It took a while but I finally convinced him to check it out. It was really awkward going in there with him. We sat in the corner and waited. A few strippers later she came out on stage. He walked right up to the stage and threw down $10 shook his head at her and walked out. It was super embarrasing. I could hardly look her in the eyes later when she was giving me a lapdance. Sorry that last sentece is BS. I left with him. He dropped me off at home and went and told his parents. Then they worked it out as a family.

my friend she was like
"and i care because??"
so i said "well i though you wanted to know"

Yeah,I told a life long friend that our friendship was over, and she just stood there in disbelief. This person was more interested in how much money that she could make than our friendship,so I told her we were no longer friends!

yes, young lady who kept putting her kids in unhealthy situations , and moving from place to place and putting her own health in jeopardy. To follow a low life unemployed man, place where they have no place to stay or jobs. She wasn't very happy with me .

I told her that an office romance was not a good idea. She agreed. But then I told her on that same note; "You can't choose who you love. Sometimes love just happens."

Who better to tell you like it is than your best friend? She tells me things that I don't want to hear either. We joke that even though we tell each other stuff that we don't want to hear, we don't always listen either. Ultimately, it's our responsibility to make our own decisions. However, hearing another's point of view doesn't hurt.

Best wishes!
