Why are the British so acquiescent, when it comes to complaining?!

I complain cos I don't like to be taken advantage of, there's too much of that these days. they just expect folk to keep their mouth shut but not me. Also if i don't get satisfaction, I don't let it rest.

Well not me! I say it as I see it, but you're right that we all probably need to change. I am not British but Americans put up with "GB". Do I mean Great Britain or George Bush? I am not sure! I am American!
I want to come and live wherever it is that you live! Our local web forum is full of complaints. There are one or two moaners in my place of work, too.
oh i have no problem with it i did it to day, if you are paying for something and it is not right then i complain, at the end of the day you are paying for a product or service and if they don't get it right then why should you pay, shop owner take advantage of us british that if something isn't right then we will let it go, well if we do not stand up for ourselves these people who are robbing us will get away with it and that is not right , so i for one will not be conned by people and won't let them get away with it so i will complain if something is not right. hope you have a great christmas best of luck for the new year.

I always complain when I am not happy with a service or goods. I do, however, do it politely. I do not shout but am assertive. I am never refused and will follow a complaint to the end of the line if I must.
I have never complained about any thing in my life until the other day when my wife and I were waiting to order some lunch at a pub bar when a man pushed in front of us and ordered a beer.He then said " did I jump the queue" I said " Yes you did". he did apologise.
