What kind of music do young people in usa listen ?!
Question: i am a chinese boy.and here in china,young people like to listen to some English songs,too. my friends love westlife,backstreet boys and Avril.I love the Eagles. the thing i want to know is,what music do america young people like? is it rap?or R&B?or rock&roll? I do remenber one guy told me his favorite is Jay-Z.
PS: Is the song "God is a girl" very popular in the us? The song is VERY VERY popular in china,but i don't think it's pleasant to hear..

Ok well it depends, lots of people listen to lots of different things. Loads of kids are in the emo scene, if they arent then they most possibly listen to rap and hip hop
What exactly is the emo scene you say? well just (in my opinion) awesome soundsing modern rock like Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the disco etc. etc.
If they listen to hip hop and pop and stuff like that then they probabaly just listen to whatever is on the radio which is like Chris Brown, fergie, jay-z, rihanna, and stuff like that.

Just listen to your local hits station, thats what a majority of the youth population listen to.
I have never ever heard of the song god is a girl, and i know plenty of songs so it's not popular here.

ya. we listen to R&B 2. im canadian but USA and CA are PRETTY tight! backsteet boys use to be very popular. not so much anymore but they are still awesome. um...try kanye west. he is AWESOME! his mom just died though. sad huh? anyways,yah!
im 19 live in socal and i listen to classic rock.. the doors especially.. and 80's, hip hop, some rap that i can dance to cuz i love clubbin!! and tons of bob marley!
