Examine the history of rock music. Pay special attention to the part called Motown. Now take out all of the black people. It sucks, doesn't it? Rock would be nowhere without black people. Never forget that.
Now, rap, hip-hop, and R&B that are the thing (have been for awhile, actually), so there they are. Blacks never left--things are just different than the early days is all.
