Does anyone out there speak Latin?!

Question: Just curious.
I've heard it spoken before, and it's a very interesting language.

I can speak a few words here and there. I took it in high school and it makes understanding Romance languages easier.

i know a little bit of pig latin

No, but I really want to learn it.

Ursus Arctos? Lemiente Nedalia!

Carniforus Rufus!

under stand that?

I took it for three years in school, but I only remember a fair bit. It's not too hard to learn, it's just finding the people to speak Latin too (as there are no more Romans) : )

no it's Greek to me

no, I can only speak Pig Latin!! Tee hee

Classical Latin is no longer spoken, largely because it has evolved into Italian, French, etc. In fact, no one today can be sure of the correct pronunciation of Classical Latin.

Liturgical, or church Latin is still used to some degree by the Roman Catholic Church, and is the form you would hear spoken today.
