How do I convince my boss?!

Question: That I can't finish this project without visiting the jobsite for about a week? The job is in the Rocky Mountains and I could use a free vacation!

lie lie lie then tell them you need check quality of work that materials are missing off the job good luck can u take few friends along? lol

sex

lie through your teeth.

and them look for other jobs...because you WILL be canned!

just man up and tell you boss whose boss

Are you a tool?

just go. he'll figure it out when the bills start arriving.

this is your boss, no way no how, you think i am stupid?

If it is true, then he probably will allow you to go. Explain in detail why you must go and lay out the itenerary and cost, etc and present it to him. If you do your research and are honest he will probably approve it.

depends on what the type of job it is before you can get a legit excuse

have a sex change

Just tell him you are a hands on guy, and you think you would do a better service if you can get to the job sight and see things for yourself.

Good Luck! (and take a heavy jacket)

why not.. i would probably do the same thing... lol go for it.. good luck!

Honesty

you need proof that you do need to be at the site and you good tactics you know the job use it on him and he wants it done right right?

make out ur job to be more important and complicated than it is plus tell him how grateful the other guys in the Rocky mountain for ur assistance. Him being ur boss he might know all these but will soften his heart.

i guess the project won't get finished then, or if it does, i may not represent the reality of the situation.

don't mention a free vacation, when you are supposed to be working.

Carefully........Or you could end up with an extended free vacation......!!!

Well I dont know the specifics of your job or the jobsite, so I can't give a detailed answer.

But just tell your boss that there's something you really need to take a look at, in person, in order to fully understand the task you have. Convince him that he wouldn't want a job done just okay or pretty good, especially when there was an opportunity to make it done great. If your boss is more laid-back and care-free and says he'd be fine even if the project wasn't done that great... then you might be able to tell him that you've always wanted to visit the Rocky Mountains and he'd understand.

Just tell him you need a feel for the job..especially this one!
