I turn the phone on and then turn it off without even saying hello.
Yeah, I speak Spanish to the ones in English and when they call back with a Spanish speaker I only speak English. If I get one who is truly bilingual then I let my 2 year old daughter speak to them before hanging up.
Yes, usually I ask them for their number so I can call them back. Or I ask them if my pet can buy what they are selling.
Yeah I do it to. I got a few skits to go with but the main goal is to see how long they can talk about something completely unrelated
absolutely yes! some of my favorites...when they ask how I'm doing, I go on and on about made-up terrible things happening in my life, never giving them a chance to say another word. Another, introducing myself as a detective at a murder crime scene and demanding that they supply me with their personal details and that the police will be in contact with them shortly. And even another, just say "uh huh" through their whole bit, then when they finally get to the end, say "what, Im sorry, can you repeat that" .... hehehe
Telemarketers and bill collectors. I love the caller ID feature. I hit the "talk" button and leave the phone on the counter until the "off the hook" alarm comes on....

I used to before I stopped using the house phone,when one would call I would answer then start screaming at my wife and make sounds like I was slapping and kicking her and she would play along like she was getting beat.
Not really. I tell them that they are wasting their time and that I never buy anything from any company that calls and irritates me.
I tell them to hold on while I grab a pen and paper so I won't miss any info. I lay the phone down and keep watching tv. I then hang the phone up when I hear it making that loud disconnected signal.
