Well see, once you borrow it a certain amount of time, with a certain fine imposed for missing just one day, you might as well pay for the book or dvd. Seriously. The library I last checked out from said it will be FIVE DOLLARS a day per dvd turned in late.
As others have said, you can always renew.
3 weeks, with the option to renew for a further 3 weeks if nobody else has requested that book.
Audio, video and DVD is just 1 week, no renewal.
2 weeks.
