I saw him in concert on Friday,and he still sounds great and is an excellent showman--at the age of 64 now!

As a poor excuse for a "swing trumpeter" - I enjoy Barry Manilows work - his pieces like Swing Street and Brooklyn Blues - and 'Hey Mambo' I have enjoyed playing along to- Thank heavens the fellow cannot hear me. I loved his introduction to his Sax Soloist whilst over here a few years ago.

I saw Barry in concert March of 2002 and he puts on the MOST AMAZING SHOW! I've seen a lot of concerts and when it comes to "not just the music" he is #1! I have all his music

I think his first album was GREAT. I had it on vinyl and am trying to buy it on CD on eBay. Also, I plan to get his Greatest Hits CD too - "Weekend in New England" is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
So yes, I am a fan, but just a casual one.

yeah he has some good songs an i grew up listening to him b/c my mom is a huge fan . lol she told me when she was a teenager she was gonna marry him when she got older lol but that didnt happen lol

I`m not an active fan as such,but having recently seen him in Las Vegas(Nov 2007),he does put on an excellent show.
He has written some truly great songs.My favourite being "Mandy"

I'm a big fan yes. My friends don't actually believe me when I say it cos my main tastes are punk and rock (I'm listening to Anthrax right now). But I appreciate good music and singers and he's one of the best. Could it be magic (not the Take That version) is still one of my favourite songs. I hope you had a great time at the concert, I wish I'd been there.
