you add them to your contacts..
put the mouse cursor on their pic and it'll show a little window where you'll find the option 'add to my contact' or something like that.. and you can click on their avatar and it'll lead u to their profile where u can add them also, you click 'add to my contacts' that's above their name and pic.
Click on their avatar picture with their name under it and then when their profile comes up you can click a little green + button that adds them. Then something should pop up on your computer screen that says''so and so'' has successfully been added to your contacts.
a fan in someone who adds you as a contact on y/a so you are someones fan if you add them first :)
just done it, you'll get an email asking if you reciprocate (blimey ive swallowed a dictionary lol)
