Why is it that YA does not seem to release my worldly worries the way it does for you? Oh, i spend too much time over in politics and current events, I guess ;).

A long time ago.

Just before the sun went done today, I was walking my dogs like I do every day and we were in the backyard and I swiped some pink roses from a house that is for sale. This rose bush was so pretty, full of blooms, and just smelled so fragrant, I couldn't help myself to three or four. And I will continue to do so because that is the only rose bush that is blooming in our neighborhood right now. Someone needs to enjoy the nice, cool days and the pretty flowers. I have bad allergies, too, but I take prescription allergy medication, so I can enjoy all of the pretty flowers and blue skies without sneezing my head off. It's going to take more than allergies to keep me from going outside. More along the likes of a bad hurricane or a tornado tend to make me stay inside.
I'm tired of Christmas stuff already. Store displays have been
out for two months plus people have been doing some really good and some really tacky decorating. I am ready for all the lights to come down since I no longer have any really small children. I do have a teenager and two grand kids that I get to see during Christmas, but to me it is all about giving too many
presents and it's so far gone commercially, it's hard for me to really enjoy celebrating Christmas anymore as an adult than when the kids were smaller. Now, I feel that being married to Scrooge, as I am, has convinced me that Christmas is for the
young kids and teenagers and not for middle aged farts like us. Scrooge & I haven't even bought our tree yet. Instead of a 7 1/2 foot tree, I think I am going for a Charlie Brown type of Christmas tree look this year. Lol. At least a small tree!
Maybe I need to quit watching the depressing 6 pm news...
that might help! Or just go outside, sit on my backyard bench and look at my lemon tree that is full of lemons and start to think about when my roses, jasmine, honeysuckle and white magnolias will begin blooming again.
Some snow would be nice, too. Snow always makes this time
of year when things are usually dormant sparkle with some excitement. As you can tell, we rarely get snow here, but I also
would not want to live where it snowed six to eight months out of the year. Our teenager would love some snow, Santa! Just something in between none and six months worth. A happy medium would be great!
Happy Holidays to all!!! Bye bye, Buk! :-)

Well I started out unworried and smelling the flowers. I was really enjoying myself UNTIL I saw that dang fire on your head. It's out now though, so I'm enjoying again.
