Once i was at a small company and they gave us each a 12 pound ham, for a Christmas bonus. There were a few of us that were single and really this ham meant little and I proposed this to the 2 other guys. I buy their hams for $5 and take our 3 hams to a homeless shelter. A shelter that does care for families and NOT as much single homeless.
They just up and gave me their hams and I walked in and donated 36 pounds of ham. The look on the people running the place was so happy and smiles. They said they planned to make ham and eggs for Christmas morning and a big ham feast for dinner. We all had jobs and 36 pounds of ham was a lot of food.

Nope, no Holiday bonuses for me. The attitude of my employer is that I get a paycheck every 2 weeks and that is enough of a reward.
We work 24/7, different people in different shifts. If you don't work a holiday, you still get full pay + 8 hours time put on books, for later or whenever. If you Do work, you get the above, plus an additional 4 hours (choice of time or pay)......

I work 12 hr shifts,,we are off that day,but they give us 12 hrs,,so you can say I get a $200 bonuse,,but I don't see it until the following Week...Ha!!

The company where I am working at gives a 1-month-salary holiday allowance. It's what some people refers to as the "13th-month salary".
The allowance is not categorized as bonus. The later term refers to yearly bonus or achievment bonus which is determined from each employee's achievement.
Sense I'm my company I'll have to ask myself about that... Yep, my boss is going to treat me real good for Christmas...
