Depends. If I get one that doesn't really work with my body type then yes it is uncomfortable.

no they really are. the underwire is so bloody annoying. and you feel like you're trapped when you're wearing them. and if you have a big chest it doesn't help much. I usually can't wait to take my bra off.

If it's the right size, then no it souldn't be uncomfortable- mine aren't. But they do say tons of women are wearing the wrong size bra... who knows.
