Do you think plants feel pain?!

Question: why, why not?

Answers: why, why not?

No they do not feel pain. Plants are living organisms, but they can't feel pain because they have no feelings.

Plants like "touch-me-not" and many others feel the disturbance of pain. Report It

yes they do --talk to them helps them grow.

yes, because they are living things.

Yes and no. Leave people whos jobs are to figure that out.

    i don't know, i'm not a plant. i hope they don't for their sake.

    Perhaps. The bleed and wither

My Bio teacher said they do. But he didn't really elaborate much. I don't know if its the same kind of pain people or animals feel.

I'm not sure that it is pain as mammals know it, but I think they feel something. If not a physical hurting, then an awareness of ending-something.
They do respond to caring and nurture. The opposite side of that would be responding to, well, anything that they sense as harmful.
Awareness, if it is that, is also recognized as their destruction and permanant, or maintenance like pruning, that is a form of caring and actually good for them.
    Just my opinion.

    Yes.

I hope not, or I've got some seriously pissed off grass.

No, I don't believe plants don't feel pain,
    (sound from background)...FEED ME, SEYMOUR!

Now that is an interesting question. I'll have to research that one.
