Something practical would probably be Alzheimer's disease, but something more funny would probably be why the diaphragm goes into spasms and we get hiccups. orrrrrr why we yawn when other people do, :)
about the tree...i think it would make a sound, but if nobody was around to hear it, nobody could testify it did.
