Yes.

yea i would. i wonder how people would react to me dying....who knows.....

its sad to hear about anyone dying of un natural causes

no, I don't know you

not if I didn't know you. I would feel bad for your family though.

I wouldn't be sad because I don't know you right there.

i wouldn't be happy.

yes

well i would be upset that you died but then again i wouldnt be SAD because i dont know you

Yes...I get sad when reading the obituaries. The loss of a life is a sad thing even if you don't know the person.

Each man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind.

i would be terribly sad!

People die all over the world every second of the day. If we became sad over every death - especial of people we don't know, there'd never be any happiness in the world.

However, if I read in the newspaper that you suddenly died from a car crash or a mall shooting - or especially from a suicide - I'd definately feel sad..even if I don't know you personally. You're not asking this question with thoughts of suicide in your mind...are you?? If so, call a friend to over to stay with you a while. Please!

Yes I'd be sad. Another humans death is always sad, especially if I never got the chance to know that person. That is the problem with the size of the world. So much death.

Being sad on your death or not depends on the people( their ages - different maturity level)) their religious and cultural beliefs. It also depends on the socio-economics situation of the person.

If I am in Maslow's fourth level (esteem), then I will feel sad for you even though I do not know you.
However, if I am in the bottom level of the hierarchy - where I have to think of lifes basic necessity - food, clothes, shelter, medicine- then no I will not feel sad about your death.

I have to say, to some extent the reply to your answer also depends on the race you belong to (this is my opinion).
If you are a white person how would a black person from Africa view your death and vice versa.

According to Christinity, Islams and other similiar religions, you may end up in the "heavens" so elder people will not feel sad or may show the sadness in their face but actuality they know your final destination.

This is a very good question.
:-)
