Why do so many dogs like to drink beer?!

We had a black lab that loved beer. One time we even caught him putting the bottle in his mouth and tipping it up to get to the beer. Huge mess but it was comical to watch. He made for a really funny drunk.
lol! Poor lil doggy, did they send him to A.A for puppies? That kind of sounds cruel to do to a puppy... Now I gotta go down stairs and hug my pup... :(
I thought it was just a retriever thing... My Golden will come running if she hears one opened, and our black lab (passed away) would drool at the sound of a popped top. Maybe dogs just want to break up the monotony of the day? Not like they can call up a friend or take in a movie, after all.
cuz it tastes good and gets them "buzzed" enough to not be afraid to approach a female and make some puppies :)
They get addicted to it... actually not only beer but any kind of alcohol. If you give it to your dog once, that's it, it's gonna be wanting it all the time.
