They're trying to be nice ok.
But, I agree, it's really annoying sometimes and I don't get it and if I'm in a bad mood I really wanna punch my computer in it's face, even if it doesn't have a face.
But, I got used to it, so now I almost pretend it doesn't exsist.
I don't hate people who do that. They're giving that little extra to either be friendly, or appear to care in order to get best answer. And I barely made it into and out of college with a 2.5. Actually, I don't think I even made it into college with a 2.5.

Hello for one I don't hate anyone and I have said hope this helps you because that is why I am sitting here trying to help someone make a decision or give them some researched information and I hope I helped in what they did not know or needed some assurance in and I guess its ok with them because they say to you thanks that really helped, and I hope that helps you understand why I say hope that helps you.

I don't think it has anything to do with GPA, or that someone is actually deciding what helps. They just want you to know they cared enough to contribute their thoughts. To answer your main question, no I don't hate it when people write that.
