Question: Okay. One of my friends, for Christmas, all she wants is Vitamin Water and a giant cookie.
Now, this is Christmas, you can get almost anything you want. And you ask for vitamin water and a giant cookie.

Your friend is either incredibly rich, incredibly content, or has no expectations whatsoever for the holidays. I'm guessing the last one. In that case, yes, that is sad. . . .
it is sad, but from a different perspective it is not. Some people are happier with the simpler things in life. fine by me!

I don't think it is sad...I think that she has everything she really needs. It is not wasteful and it is honest. It is not about wanting..it is about giving to others (not always stuff either) and spending time with loved ones/friends!

uhhmmm, well maybe i guess. I cant really think of anything for xmas right now, so i cant really tell you if its sadder than what i want for christmas, so yeah. Some people like the simple things in life! Maybe i will just take something simple too---a cookie sounds good~~~

I have a great respect for people who know what they need and want those only. Unfortunately many of us want things because others already have them or are getting them.

That is far from sad. Think of all the soldiers overseas defending our freedom and others while we sit talking about how sad a cookie and h2o are for Christmas. They would like just be with their families with no presents. I only speak from experience. Spend many Christmas away from family. This is not a whoa is me. Let's just look outside our computers for a minute and thank those men and women who are sacificing alot more than others.
