you yawn because your brain needs more air, the reason you do it when your tired is because your body slows down and you breath slow so you need more oxygen to the brain.
It has something to do with getting oxygen to the brain. I don't remember the exact reason. :( Sorry.
What I want to know is how come when someone yawns it makes someone else yawn in the room?
The brain is lacking oxygen, that is why you yawn
