How comforting is it to see all these 'Class Clowns' rally around a real!
Question: If you're referring to your double nickel friend, it is truly a tenuous connection with security and comfort that most of us have. Right now I'm enjoying a dual income but what if that changes and one of us can't work? There goes the home. I have a friend that amazingly is able to hang on to his place and his job, but that could change any time too, and he's passed the double nickel, I don't think there are too many employement opportunities left for him. So the real issue is America and how it takes care of its own. A viewing of Sicko underscores the real issue.

I'm not sure which issue you're talking about, but neither am I surprised.
Humor is the symptom of a disease called "Perspective." Perspective is necessary to see things as the truly are. Thus, the stronger your sense of humor, the better your ability to understand what's really important.
That's why "Serious People" tend to get bogged down in trivia and usually have misplaced priorities.
It is indeed very comforting. But leads to another question/observation. I was unaware they had a school for clowns because I thought clowns had no class. At least that was my former wife's parting shot at me when she left. It would have hurt too except I don't have feelings. LOL
