I have a fiber optic tree. I love the ever changing colours and you never have to buy decorations for it either and it does last for years.

i have a fake one, it is seemingly less environmentally friendly than chopping a living tree down but i have had it for 8 years........
real trees may look and smell nice but the crap that is left on the carpet is still getting hoovered up in july (ok i only hoover twice a year but that dont matter)

I prefer the fakes, they dont shed and i can spary it to smell like the real nitty gritty...besides, it cost less and last longer.

Real because they do smells wonderful and we buy trees that have the roots still attached and after Christmas we replant them. Just cover with a tree skirt and lots of water.
