You should never swallow it. I did one time. There was a toothpick in my triple decker sandwich that I didn't see and I swallowed it. Luckily, no harmful side effects. Nevertheless, I do NOT recommend doing that!
Probably eat it or use it as a homeade tattoo needle. Whoever does that would be a complete idiot.
