Is there a way to find out the weight of things without using scales?!
Question: I don't have a weight scale with me and i want to find out weights of things from between 250gms up to 2 kgs. I am looking for smart answers.
If I can't find good answers here, I will have to try science categories to ask the nerds.

Use a board or ruler.
Put something in the middle to raise it so it will be like a lever. (could use a rolling pin)
Then find things in your house that are the weight you want.
Example a bag of sugar - 2kg, cans, boxes of cereal, etc.
Put on one end then put the object on the other end.

Guestimate
if you have a whole bunch of items, try rigging up a scale
(like a see saw?), and put different combinations of those items on each side, see which ones weigh the same together, which ones are heavier, lighter, etc and through a process of elimination you should be able to get a pretty good measurement. Will take some doing though.
