Question: The other week, I had arranged to meet my Brother in Paington Devon, at the Bus station, I live in the East Midlands, I had not seen my Bro for about 18months, he has been very ill , and had chemotherapy, he came up to me, at the B/S and I just blanked him, I just didn't know the man standing in front of me was my brother, I had to quickly think, and say, I'v never seen you in a hat before, the reason for wearing it was because he is now bald.

ran up and bearhugged what I thought was my best friend a while ago. It wasnt her. I was wearing glasses that day. You never saw anyone go so red as me. The woman was lovely about it, thank goodness!

yeah i did....tho i did worse then that, when i was younger we had a family living next door to us, and their little girl loved me, i saw a family walking up the street, and i swear it was our neighbours, i beant down and held my arms out for the little girl to run to, i was calling her name and everything, and it wasnt til there were closer i realised it wasnt them, but the were too close for me to hide, i just had to sort of smile and shrug it off haha haha

Yes and its always the same woman - she looks just like one of my friends, I went over to her the other night and when I realised (again) it was the wrong woman, I just carried on walking, pretending that I smile like an idiot all the time!

I actually pulled my car over and started honking at some guy that I thought was my brother in law...I wanted to offer him a lift. I think the poor guy must have thought that I wanted to kill him or something.
Oh, more times than I care to remember! I didn't find out I was shortsighted until I was 15 and I was always waving/calling to people who weren't who I thought.
Mind you, that's not the worst thing I've ever done - I once got into a woman's car at the station thinking she was my minicab - she was only there to collect her son! Gah.....
Yes! Oh how embarrasing is it!? Many of times I have done that and looked mental! Also another thing I do alot is beep and wave in the car to people I think is my mate when it isn't them at all!

I waved and called out hello Deirdre thinking it was someone I knew she looked puzzled but I continued and crossed the street chatting away to her only when I got up close I realised it wasn't her at all. I said sorry to her I thought you were someone else. She smiled but I couldn't get away fast enough. It didn't end there unforunately cos a half hour later I done the same thing again to THE SAME WOMEN only this time I did not say sorry I just ran like hell. OMG I think I need to get my eyes tested. Lmao
